Isa Marie McIntyre joined the U.S. Army in September 2003 at the age of 17 and completed basic training at Fort Jackson, SC. She went to Redstone Arsenal, Alabama for Advanced Individual Training where she earned the Military Occupational Specialty of Multiple Launch Rocket Systems Repairer. Isa Marie deployed to Iraq in 2006 for a 15-month tour and then again in 2009 for a 12-month tour. After completing 8 years in the Army she ended her time in Service at the rank of Sergeant. Isa Marie’s military awards include the Iraq Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, four Army Commendation Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Driver and Mechanic Badge, the Combat Action Badge, among others.

Isa Marie met Alejandro Jauregui, owner and operator of Fury Bees & Pollination, on her first tour to Iraq. The two married in 2010 and have 3 children together. 

In May 2019, Isa Marie graduated from Sacramento State’s Business Honors Program where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. She is currently a Committee Chair for the non-profit organization Women Veterans Giving and an active participant in the “Vanquishing the Invisible” portrait project.
