Mike Miller is the Director of Private and Public Engagement within the Department of Defense’s Defense Personnel and Family Support Center (DPFSC). He serves as the interface and liaison between OSD, federal inter-agency partners, state agency partners, private sector companies, technical and trade schools, and universities and colleges. He is also the engagement lead for the five offices comprising DPFSC: the Transition to Veterans Program Office, Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program, the Federal Voting Assistance Program, and the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program.

Prior to joining the DPFSC team, Mike accumulated over 33 years of leadership and civilian/military human resource management experience that includes team building, talent management, leader development, policy development, strategic planning, corporate culture change, diversity and inclusion, organizational management, and resource management.

Mike is a U.S. Army Veteran and “Soldier for Life” who served three strategic enterprise assignments in Headquarters, Department of the Army; three Chief Human Capital Officer assignments at U.S. Army installation, Division, and Corps levels; and operational deployments in Somalia and Afghanistan. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cameron University, a Master of Arts from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Science from the U.S. Army War College.
