Farm Tour: Traditional Meets Today

This tour will be focused on Livestock and sustainable practices. It will include the largest cattle market in the world, the OKC National Stockyards. Attendees will then get to visit the Oklahoma Horse Shoeing School, where they will get some insight into how horseshoeing is done and what all goes into it. After, they will get an exclusive look at the Clearwater Ranch where they will learn about bison, regenerative grazing practices, and hay production.

Date: November 13
Transportation: Bus will leave from the Reed Center in Midwest City at 8:45 a.m.
Other: bottled water and lunch provided by Oklahoma Chapter of Farmer Veteran Coalition
Participation limited to the first 50 registered participants who are also members of FVC.

8:45 a.m. – Load bus Reed Center
9 a.m. -10:00 a.m. – OKC National Stockyards
Largest cattle market in the world
10:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. – Travel
10:30 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. – Egg Producer
12:20 a.m. -12:50 p.m. – Travel, Boxed lunch on the bus
12:50 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. – Oklahoma Horse Shoeing School (VA benefits can be utilized here)
1:45p.m.-2:10 p.m. – Travel
2:10 p.m. -3:30 p.m. – Clearwater Ranch
Raising bison, regenerative grazing practices, hay production
3:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Travel back to Reed Center
