Gabrielle Budder, Cherokee Nation citizen, graduated from Northeastern State University with a B.A. in Multimedia studies, a B.A. in English studies, and a minor in Cherokee studies. Prior to NAAF she interned for the Cherokee Phoenix through the 2018 Cherokee internship, and wrote for the student newspaper, The Northeastern, at NSU.
