Member Lauren Spencer is knocking it out of the park with her Homegrown by Heroes flower business in Kentucky .Originally from California, Lauren served six years in the US Coast Guard, providing search and rescue efforts while stationed at a surf unit on the Pacific Northwest, and then as a medic at an Air Station in the Caribbean.
From a young age she dreamed about living in the country. With a growing passion for understanding food systems and sustainability within agriculture, Lauren moved to Kentucky to pursue a degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Agriculture Education. During her fourth year at University of Kentucky she found a log home on 43 acres in Cynthiana and started her budding business, Brownings
