Crooked Row Farm
Robert Eversole served six years in the U.S. Navy, separating in 2009, having earned two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals for leadership and personal achievement.
After separating from the military, Robert founded Crooked Row Farm in 2011, based on the CSA model. The farm has since diversified to strengthen viability by adding an Angus cow-calf operation. Robert now oversees vegetable production and food safety on his GAP-audited farm, and has grown crop production from 1/4 acre to 17 acres in a span of 9 years by hyper-focusing on a small selection of crops for the institutional wholesale market (including the University of Kentucky and other school systems). Robert most enjoys working on childhood hunger elimination projects such as Kentucky’s Summer Feeding programs, as his main interests lie in the effects that childhood food insecurity have on adulthood social and economic inequality.
