Tru Bee Removal

Owner

Air Force Veteran

I’ve been married to my lovely wife Mary Ann for 41 years and we’ve been blessed with two boys and two daughter-in-love’s and four grandchildren. I served in the United States Air Force for 10 years serving in Desert Storm flying onboard the E3 AWACS.

Before joining the Air Force, I grew up on a farm in Mississippi where we grew soy beans and had a poultry operation. In the 1980s, we moved into an operation of planting loblolly pine trees. We moved to Oklahoma in 1985, and outside of six years in Saudi Arabia, this is now home. We purchased land in 2012 in the big town of Slaughterville, Oklahoma, where most of our land is native grass and we are developing pollinator and nectar resources for our honeybee operation. We use the honeybee operation (building the Apiary out to 500 hives, building a training and research facility) to train veterans and first responders in safe be removal and beekeeping. We have trained 74 Veterans, one of which was an 83-year-young Korean Veteran whom finished both the college and Oklahoma hands on, nine-month course.  We are excited to be a part of the Farmer Veteran Coalition, as well as working with Oklahoma State University, Langston University, NRCS and the Oklahoma agricultural department. “Helping People……Saving The Bees”
