Navy Veteran

Growing up on a farm in Indiana, T.C. Beckett recognized the value of harvesting healthy food from their local garden, Drawing water from their well daily gave him an appreciation of the importance of water, which later led to him to discover aquaponics. T.C. ‘The Chief’ Beckett joined the United States Navy in 1984, and specialized in Intelligence and Strike Warfare. Chief Beckett honorably served for 20yrs until 2005, and is a combat veteran.

T.C. started his first aquaponics business called No Dirt Required in 2014 building aquaponic gardens for private individuals, elementary schools, non-profit, and small commercial operators.

T.C. founded Veterans Produce in 2018, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit org. Their mission is to feed homeless and food-insecure Veterans, like Tony, one community at a time. Additionally, Veterans Produce donates 100s lbs. of food to local food banks, North Texas Food Bank, Tarrant County Food Bank, Salvation Army, CCA, etc.…

Veterans Produce has partnerships with numerous veteran services orgs (VSO), which focuses on the needs of veterans and food insecurity, and is currently building multiple community greenhouses, e.g. Valor Ranch, Steel Hope Foundation, and DeLay Middle School.
