Workshop: All About Bees

This half-day workshop will provide an in-depth and hands-on experience into many aspects of bee keeping including: safe swarm removal and relocation, gear and equipment, how to establish and maintain bee colonies, how to detect common problems such as varroa mites, how to help bees survive through challenging weather conditions, how to harvest honey and more.

Location: TruAnThPhila (TruBees) Apiary
Date: November 13, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Transportation: Vans will leave from the Reed Center in Midwest City at 11:15 a.m.
Other: bottled water and snacks provided by Oklahoma Chapter of Farmer Veteran Coalition, please eat lunch before you come, or bring something to eat for lunch during the bus ride
Participation limited to the first 25 registered participants who are also members of FVC.

About the owner: Steve Easom, owns and operates Tru Bee Removal, a company that helps veterans and first responders refocus and gain a new purpose through safe bee removal and bee keeping. The company participates in the Heroes to Hives program and is a member of the Farmer Veteran Coalition.
